Polyman is a highly flexible and easy-to-use viewer for European Data Format (EDF and EDF+) files. It is particularly well-suited for study of polysomnograms such as those in the Sleep-EDF Database. Polyman was contributed by Bob Kemp to PhysioNet together with the Sleep-EDF Database.
Polyman is free, but (unlike all other software available from PhysioNet) not open-source; it runs on MS-Windows only. This directory contains the Polyman executable file and a pair of XML configuration files for use when viewing the Sleep-EDF Database. The Polyman.zip file contains the .exe file and the two .xml files, and is provided here to simplify downloading.
An easy way to view these recordings using Polyman is to select File → Open → File(s)... to open a PSG.edf file and its corresponding .Hypnogram.edf file; then select File → Apply Template → Browse... to open SC-cassette.xml (for an SC PSG) or ST-telemetry.xml (for an ST PSG).
The most recent version of Polyman is always available at http://www.edfplus.info/downloads/.
